Stephen_Haynes_2011Brownwood Mayor Stephen Haynes will present his annual “State of the City” report on Friday, January 20 at the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce’s monthly luncheon.  The luncheon will take place at the Brownwood Country Club from 11:30 AM to 1 PM and is open to members and guests.  The Chamber’s luncheon will also include door prizes, introduction of new members and the new “Aces Wild” Cash Drawing—which features a guaranteed winner each month.

Mayor Haynes was born in Brownwood, Texas, and graduated from Brownwood High School.  After high school, he attended Abilene Christian University where he obtained a bachelor’s of business administration degree.  Following college, he attended law school at Texas Tech University School of Law.

Stephen is actively involved in many community and civic affairs.  He is a past Chairman of the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce, and was elected Mayor of the City of Brownwood in May of 2010.  Stephen also serves as a statewide director for the Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Employee Benefits Pool.
