A Brownwood man died as a result of a one-vehicle accident in Meridian, Mississipi, and four others were injured during the crash that occurred Friday morning.
Brandon Ward of the Meridian Star reported that 23-year-old Howard L. Adams of Brownwood died after the 2001 Ford SUV he was driving left the road and overturned in the east bound lanes of Interstate 20 near the Toomsuba exit, according to Mississippi Highway Patrol. The accident occurred around 10:30 a.m. Adams was not wearing a seat belt and was reported to have been ejected from the vehicle, according to the story.The other passengers who were injured in the accident were also from Brownwood and included a male relative, Adams’ fiancé and her two children according to Adams’ family members.
As of Friday afternoon, the cause of the accident was undetermined.
