Brownwood Police arrested 21-year-old Thomas Christopher Dean of Brownwood on Friday and charged him with sexual assault of a child.
Sgt. Troy Carroll of the Brownwood Police Department said that the mother of a 14-year-old girl contacted police because she suspected that her daughter was having sex with Dean.
An investigation began into the incident that reportedly occurred on Friday January 8th. Carroll said that during the investigation, Dean provided a written statement to police admitting to the act.
He was arrested on Friday and released on Monday after posting bond of $25,000.
Brownwood Police are not releasing any further information at this time.
