Participating in the Lake Cross Country Invitational at Lynn Creek Park in Grand Priairie Thursday, the Brownwood High School Varsity teams took top rankings.
Varsity boys took first place once again and Varsity girls placed second.
Led by Cross Country Head Coach Don Hood, both teams have placed first in the last several meets they have attended.
This week, Brownwood’s Dylan Person earned 2nd with a time of 16:55.61, followed by his teammate Jacob Salazar who earned 5th place with a 18:19.09 run in the boys 5K run. In the girls varsity 2 mile race, Katy Jacobs placed 3rd with a time of 13:00.90, Tori Burkett came in 4th with 13:03.90 and Ashley Strong was 5th place with a 13:04.74.
