Brownwood hosted the final qualifying round of 7-on-7 football Saturday bringing in over a dozen teams to the area.
The Brownwood Lions had previously qualified for the 7-on-7 state tournament coming up in July, but that didn’t slow them down on the field as they showed off some serious skills.
The Lions played three games on Saturday and shut out their first two opponents. Results for these games are:
- Brownwood 53
Lampasas 0
- Brownwood 52
Levelland 0
- Brownwood 53
Abilene Wylie 31
Goldthwaite and Eastland each qualified for the state tournament during their games in Brownwood Saturday.
The 7-on-7 State Tournament will be held in two weeks at Texas A & M.
