The Brownwood Lions baseball team faced off with Liberty Hill in their district opener, at home on Tuesday night, falling 7-2.
Seth Owen took the mound until the bottom of the 6th when he was relieved by his brother Kory Owen.
In the first inning, Brownwood took charge with two runs and held the Panthers scoreless for the first two innings and only allowed one run through the fourth inning.
In the fifth inning the Panthers were able to score four runs bringing the score to 5-2. Liberty Hill earned two more runs in the sixth, making it 7-2.After 7 innings the Lions remained down 7-2 as the game came to an end.
The Lions will face the Badgers in Lampasas Friday, March 21st at 7:00 p.m.
