Brownwood coaches praised the offense for being more consistent than last week, but were really impressed with the Lions defense.
“Coach Howard and the defensive coaches had a great defensive plan,” stated Head Coach Bob Shipley. “We had more of a rhythm, last week we were really inconsistent.”
This was the 99th career win for Coach Shipley. A victory over Stephenville next week could be his 100th career win. When asked about the game against Stephenville scheduled for next week, Shipley said, “We will be working our tails off to be ready for this team. I’m not going to promise anything as to the outcome of this game, but we’ll be ready.”
