Members of the Brownwood Kiwanis Club held their annual Sweetheart Banquet on Thursday, Feb. 11 at the Brownwood Country Club. Awards and recognitions included:

C.T Bush Award: Brownwood Kiwanis Club President Royce Blackburn presents Christine Reynolds with the C.T. Bush Award in honor of her late husband, Michael Dee Reynolds who was a member of the Brownwood Kiwanis Club since 2007 and served on the board of directors and club president for two years.
The award is named after the founder of the Texas-Oklahoma Kiwanis Foundation who worked tirelessly for its success and is awarded by the individual Kiwanis Club to a member they feel deserving of the honor.
George F. Hixson Fellowship: Brownwood Kiwanis Club President Royce Blackburn presents J. Fred Perry with the George F. Hixson Fellowship for his outstanding service to the club for 61 years.
In 1983, the Kiwanis International Foundation established the George F. Hixson Fellowship. Named for Kiwanis International’s first president, Hixson Fellowships are given to members who have contributed significantly to Kiwanis’ history of generosity.
