After the many years of support from the Brown County community, the Brownwood Kiwanis Club welcomes everyone to the first Appreciation Chili Lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 14 at the Adams Street Community Center.
“It’s a chance for us to thank the community for their support with our Pancake Supper,” Rex Tackett said. “With their help, we are able to support many great organizations.”
The free lunch will include chili (with no beans), beans and all the fixings including cheese, onions, crackers, peppers and more. Members of the Brownwood High School Key Club will host a bake sale during the lunch for residents who would like dessert.During the Chili Lunch, members of the Brownwood Kiwanis Club will be competing against each other in the Chili Challenge to see who makes the best chili. The winner will receive the coveted Chili Challenge Trophy.
