January is School Board Recognition Month, and Brownwood ISD is taking the opportunity to say “thank you” to these local leaders for their time and service to support public education in the community.
The members currently serving on the Brownwood ISD Board of Trustees include Diane Thompson, Dr. Lisa Fowler, Tim Jacobs, Eric Evans, Michael Cloy, Bradley Jetton, and Roderick Jones. These local volunteers are elected by their constituents, and they receive no compensation for the service they provide. They are part of more than 7,300 men and women across the state serving as school board members.
“We want to recognize these public servants and make sure they are thanked for the great job they do and the many hours of service they put towards quality public education in Brownwood,” said Brownwood ISD Superintendent, Dr. Reece Blincoe. “They are much appreciated for their important role and their hard work in the decision-making process for the district.”
Brownwood ISD will highlight the current members and their service in a special presentation during the board meeting on January 13th.
“There will be some time set aside during the upcoming meeting to recognize the board members,” said Blincoe. “We value their service and want to thank them for their continued contribution to the success of our students and our district.”
Brownwood ISD said in a press release that it extends its gratitude to these men and women for their diligent service and year-round commitment to public education.
