BISDLogo2Dr. Reece Blincoe, superintendent of schools for Brownwood ISD, spoke Friday at the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheon regarding this past legislative session, the upcoming school year, dual credit courses, student laptops, the budget and more.

One highlight of the presentation was regarding dual credit courses. Blincoe said that parents can save thousands of dollars on college by having their student participate in dual credit classes.  He said that 126 Brownwood students earned 1,193 college dual credit hours last year through Howard Payne University, TSTC-Brownwood and Ranger College.
