Brownwood Independent School District (BISD) is inviting its students to show off their creativity and artistic talent by designing a card for the 2016 holiday season. BISD is encouraging students from all the District campuses and grade-levels to enter. At the conclusion of the contest, the artist that created the winning design will be recognized as the “designer” on the card itself, as well as on the district website and other forms of publicity.
“Instead of a generic holiday card, we want to showcase the work of the best thing about Brownwood ISD: our students,” said BISD Superintendent, Dr. Joe Young. “I’m fortunate to see some of their work throughout our campuses, so I know it is going to be an impressive display of artistic talent. I’m excited to see the creativity they use to show their Brownwood holiday spirit.”All art mediums are accepted (paint, digital photography, crayon, pencil, collage, etc.) and submitted artwork should be no smaller than 8.5 inches by 5.5 inches and no larger than 18 inches by 20 inches.
The deadline for entries is Nov. 10 and additional information regarding the contest can be found online at www.brownwoodisd.org/holidaycardcontest.
