BISD_BFD_BPDLogosThe safety and welfare of our students and staff continues to be of the highest priority at the Brownwood Independent School District.  To provide schools an opportunity to practice emergency response procedures, the district has partnered with the city of Brownwood’s Police and Fire Departments to participate in district-wide emergency preparedness drills over the course of two days: Thursday, May 19 and Friday, May 20. Just as with our recurring monthly drills, these drills will take place during the regular school day and will not affect start or end times.

In conjunction with each principal, BISD has chosen a specific drill for each campus which will occur within the two-day window. The goals of the training drills are to improve our ability to protect students, save lives, and reduce injuries in the event of an emergency. These drills allow us to evaluate our emergency operations plan and improve our response skills.

For general information, please contact Charles Musgrove. If you have a student and would like campus-specific information, please contact your campus principal.
