NAS_FortworthResidents living in Brown, Comanche, Mills, San Saba, Runnels, McCulloch, Coleman and Concho Counties are invited to attend an educational meeting on Monday, June 3rd with military representatives to learn more about the military aircraft training that has been flying the skies over these counties for several years.

The Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base announced the meeting this week that will help explain the aircraft training and discuss sonic booms some residents have been reporting.

The news release states “…overhead air space encompassing Dublin to the north, south to Valley Spring, west to Paint Rock and north again to just above Novice is considered a Military Operating Area for aircraft training evolutions.  Then sitting almost dead center in this area lies the City of Brownwood.”

Anyone that may be interested in learning more about the aircraft training that occurs over Brownwood and its neighboring counties are welcome to attend the public meeting on June 3 beginning at 6:30 p.m.  The City of Brownwood is hosting this open meeting at the Depot Civic and Cultural Center located at 600 East Depot Street.
