The Brownwood High School Health Science Technology program is completing its 6th year of existence this summer. During its second year the student organization, HOSA, was chartered with one chapter. As of 2015, there are 4 HOSA chapters with 20+ students in each one. This is the 4th year BHS will be represented at the National Convention. “We are beginning to see the fruits of our labor as we hear from former students involved in various medical opportunities,” stated BHS Health Science Teacher, Ann Tew.
“I am excited about HOSA’s future at BHS,” added Annalyn Deen, HOSA Advisor and BHS Health Science teacher. “We have many freshman and sophomore students interested in becoming both local and state officers with goals to attend a national conference. It is fun and exciting to see the growth in these students year to year.”
