Brownwood News – The Brownwood High School (BHS) Theatre’s UIL one-act performance of “A Streetcar Named Desire” by Tennessee Williams has advanced to the Bi-District competition.
“Five weeks ago, these kids started on an incredible journey of education, not entertainment,” stated BHS Theatre Director, Shannon Lee. “Their maturity and professionalism have astounded me from day one. I trust them implicitly and they trust each other. We have laughed, played, cried and grown together throughout this process and I wouldn’t trade a second of it! Congratulations to these kids for advancing to Bi-district competition.”
Awards received included: Riley Pruett (Honorable Mention All-Star Cast), Heather Williams (All-Star Cast), Shelby Wilson (All-Star Crew), Jordan Roberts (Best Actress), and Josh Lawson (Best Actor).
The Bi-District competition will be held on Monday, March 25 in the BHS Auditorium.
