Brownwood High School Fashion Design students recently participated in the National Quilt Museum School Block Challenge. Students designed and stitched quilt blocks, meeting the National Quilt Museum contest rules which included using three fabrics provided by the museum that had to be used in a recognizable amount in the finished design.
Quilt blocks had to be turned in by December 1, 2013. Students received the blocks back during the last week of April along with certificates and ribbons. Blocks were completed by Veronica Sanchez, Jordan Gongora, Ophelia Hickerson, Mikah Stone, Crystal Clemens, and Esmeralda Lares.Pictured above: Brownwood High School Fashion Design students with their National Quilt Museum School Block Challenge blocks, (left to right) Veronica Sanchez, Jordan Gongora, Ophelia Hickerson, Mikah Stone, Crystal Clemens, and Esmeralda Lares.
