The Brownwood High School horticulture and landscape class will host their annual plant sale from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 12th at the BHS greenhouse.
Approximately 1000 plants, including 450 geraniums and 200 hanging baskets, will be available for purchase. All of these plants are grown and cared for by the students of the class in the greenhouse. All proceeds from the sale benefit the horticulture classes. Costs of plants range from $1-$10 each.Their teacher, Mitzi Cockerham, stated that the class is very beneficial to the students teaching several ways plants can be grown.
“It’s really neat that the kids can see the different ways of growing such as using cuttings, planting seeds, and by separation division propagation,” said Cockerham.
