The Brownwood Fire Department is encouraging everyone to “pink out” during October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and are selling special pink shirts in honor of the cause.
Through the month of October, BFD will be selling the shirts for $15 each. Proceeds will stay in Brown County and benefit cancer patients locally according to BFD firefighter Bryan Harvey. To purchase a shirt, drop by Brownwood Fire Station 1 or call (325) 646-6743 to place an order.
The shirts were also sold during reunion weekend and were a big hit. Pictured left is the front of the shirt, the back is pictured below.
October 19th is National Pink Out Day and supporters are encouraged to wear pink. According to Harvey, BFD firefighters will be wearing the pink shirts while working to show their support. Join in and show your support by ordering a shirt today.
