Brownwood News – The following incident reports were submitted by the Brownwood Fire Department detailing service calls handled from January 15th to January 21st.

 

1/15/18

  • 5:07 AM – EMS Call chest pain
  • 7:08 AM – Fire Call 1004 Brin St rekindle from a previous fire. Arrived on scene to find storage building involved. Fire was knocked down and mop-up started.
  • 10:11 AM – Fire Call 515 E Commerce dispatched for fire alarm activation. Fire Crews arrived on scene and made entry to the room where alarm was activating. It was determined to be a CO2 leak. Maintenance crew was advised to contact a plumber.
  • 11:15 AM – EMS Call fall
  • 1:53 PM – EMS Call unknown medical
  • 3:58 PM – EMS Call person in distress
  • 5:25 PM – EMS Call seizure activity
  • 5:50 PM – EMS Call fall with injury

1/16/18

  • 12:07 PM – EMS Call back pain
  • 12:34 PM – MVA E Commerce & Main arrived on scene of a minor accident to find 3 vehicles moved to the parking lot. Everyone was out of the vehicles with no injuries.
  • 9:05 PM – EMS Call lift assist
  • 10:55 PM – Fire Call 2203 9th St. responded to smell of smoke in the area, arrived on scene to find light smoke. A dumpster was found with a fire smoldering. Fire Crews extinguished the fire.

1/17/18

  • 2:36 AM – Fire Call 2002 12th St. dispatched for a smoke detector activation. Arrived on scene with nothing showing. Home owner advised the smoke detector in the hallway was activating. Smoke detector was very old and full of dust. The residence was searched with nothing found.
  • 12:07 PM – Fire Call 2407 Vine St. dispatched for a loud pop behind a residence. Arrived on scene to find a fuse had blown . Dispatch was informed of the pole number.
  • 2:08 PM – EMS Call seizures
  • 4:34 PM – MVA 2100 Balk Ave E dispatched for a major two vehicle accident. Arrived on scene to everyone out of the vehicles and no injuries.
  • 4:40 PM – EMS Call shortness of breath
  • 5:30 PM – EMS Call incoherent
  • 8:22 PM – Power line down 1409 Belle Plain responded to a report of power lines and down and has started a grass fire. Arrived on scene to find no fire on the ground and the power line burning in the air. Fire Crews blocked traffic and Oncor was notified.
  • 9:19 PM – EMS Call difficulty breathing
  • 9:26 PM – EMS Call assist invalid
  • 10:06 PM – Fire Call 601 W Commerce responded to a report of power loss in the building and now there is smoke in the building. Arrived on scene and searched the building with nothing found. Oncor was on scene working on the power lines.

1/18/18

  • 9:31 AM – Lock In 305 Clark St. dispatched to a call of a car running with a child locked inside. Arrived on scene to find the vehicle was not running. Car was unlocked and PD was requested on scene.
  • 1:28 PM – EMS Call unknown medical assist
  • 7:53 PM – EMS Call heart attack

1/19/18

  • 8:53 AM – EMS Call dizzy and weak
  • 9:45 AM – EMS Call lift assist
  • 10:27 AM – Dispatched and cancelled
  • 10:39 AM – EMS Call difficulty breathing

1/20/18

  • 12:08 AM – EMS Call fall
  • 1:49 AM – EMS Call won’t wake up
  • 4:20 PM – Fire Call 2701 S US 377 dispatched for a leaking diesel tank. Arrived to find a 250 gallon overhead diesel tank on the ground. Diesel was flowing on the ground. Spill was estimated to be around 50 to 60 gallons. Absorbent was put down to soak up the fuel.
  • 4:27 PM – MVA Anderson and Center arrived on scene of a one vehicle accident with no injuries. Vehicle had struck the curb while turning the corner.

1/21/18

  • 4:56 AM – EMS Call assist invalid
  • 2:02 PM – EMS Call fall
  • 6:11 PM – EMS Call general illness
