Brownwood News – The following incident reports were submitted by the Brownwood Fire Department detailing service calls handled from December 25th to 31st.

 

December 25th

  • 11:47 AM – EMS Call laceration
  • 3:41 PM – EMS Call heart attack

December 26th

  • 1:52 PM – EMS Call possible overdose
  • 5:15 PM – EMS Call assistance
  • 7:47 PM – EMS Call difficulty breathing

December 27th

  • 6:53 AM – EMS Call heart problems
  • 6:21 PM – Fire Call 600 block of Idlewild Dr. responded to a call of a overheated bathroom heater. Firefighters used the thermal camera to search for heat and found some charred insulation. Resident was advised to call an electrician.
  • 7:31 PM – EMS Call lift assist
  • 8:24 PM – Fire Call 2800 block of Ave D dispatched for a structure fire. Arrived on scene to find light smoke and a fire in the attic. Firefighters pulled attack line and began to extinguish the fire. It was determined a fire started in a non-working fireplace.

December 28th

  • 4:36 AM – Fire Call 2000 block of 8th St. responded to request to assist with an malfunctioning smoke detector.
  • 9:17 AM – EMS Call overdose
  • 1:52 PM – EMS Call unknown medical
  • 2:12 PM – EMS Call difficulty breathing
  • 6:22 PM – EMS Call chest pain
  • 6:58 PM – EMS Call lift assist

December 29th

  • 4:56 AM – EMS Call difficulty breathing
  • 8:29 AM – EMS Call chest pain
  • 9:34 AM – EMS Call seizures
  • 12:06 PM – EMS Call back pain
  • 12:41 PM – EMS Call alcohol poisoning
  • 9:35 PM – Fire Call 2700 block of Good Shepherd dispatched for a fire in the alley. Arrived on scene to find a small fire on a dumpster. Fire was extinguished with no damage to anything except dumpster. Sanitation dept was contacted.

December 30th

  • 8:05 AM – Fire Call 1600 block of 9th St. responded to a gas leak inside a residence. Arrived on scene and used gas detector to investigate the house and found a gas valve was broke. Atmos was notified.
  • 8:56 AM – EMS Call lift assist
  • 2:15 PM – Fire Call 1900 Blk Coggin responded to a report of smoke in the area. Arrived on scene and found occupants with 2 fire pits burning.
  • 4:20 PM – EMS Call seizures
  • 7:53 PM – MVA 1500 block of Main arrived on scene of a two vehicle accident with rollover. Provided emergency care and assisted EMS.

December 31st

  • 10:54 AM – EMS Call difficulty breathing
  • 12:13 PM – EMS Call lift assist
  • 6:04 PM – 1200 block of Center Ave detector activation. Fire Crews arrived on scene and was met by HPU security guard stating steam from a shower activated the alarm. No fire.
  • 6:11 PM – MVA US 377 and Crockett arrived on scene of a 2 vehicle accident. Provided patient care and assisted EMS with loading for transport.
