Brownwood News – The following incident reports were submitted by the Brownwood Fire Department detailing service calls handled from December 11th to 17th.

 

December 11, 2017

  • 2:00 a.m. EMS Call: difficulty breathing
  • 12:37 p.m. Multi Vehicle Accident:  Avenue K and 3rd Street, dispatched to an accident with unknown injuries.  Arrived on scene with EMS and PD. Assisted EMS with patient care
  • 5:56 p.m. Fire Call: 2300 block of 12th Street, dispatched to an alarm activation. Arrived on scene to find homeowner stating he had burned a pancake and there was no fire.

December 12, 2017

  • 10:33 a.m. EMS Call: lift assist
  • 11:23 a.m. EMS Call: overdose
  • 3:54 p.m. EMS Call: cardiac arrest

December 13, 2017

  • 7:35 a.m. EMS Call: nose bleed
  • 9:33 a.m. EMS Call: stomach pain
  • 11:35 a.m. EMS Call: unconscious
  • 11:39 a.m. EMS Call: diabetic complication
  • 6:07 p.m. Fire Call: 2100 block of Morris Sheppard Drive, dispatched for a possible electrical fire.  Arrived on scene to find residents outside advising the oven had overheated. Fire Crews requested Oncor to respond and investigate. Attic was searched with no heat detected.

December 14, 2017

  • 4:51 a.m. EMS Call: chest pains
  • 5:46 p.m. Fire Call: 1500 Terrace Drive, dispatched for a call of an oven fire that had been extinguished and occupant wanted to check for heat extension. It was found that Tupperware was left in the oven and had melted.  It was confirmed that heat was confined to the inside of the oven.
  • 8:28 p.m. EMS Call: diabetic complication
  • 11:36 p.m. EMS Call: seizure activity

December 15, 2017

  • 10:49 a.m. Fire Call: 1600 block of Avenue B, responded to a report of a structure fire. Arrived on scene with heavy smoke showing. Primary search was completed and extinguishment of fire started. Red Cross was notified to assisted the home owner.
  • 12:42 p.m. EMS Call: cardiac arrest
  • 4:09 p.m. Fire Call: 700 block of Elm Street, dispatched for a small outside fire. Arrived on scene to find home owner burning pallets. Owner was advised of city burn codes and fire was extinguished.
  • 6:03 p.m. Fire Call: 500 block of East Commerce, responded to smoke alarm activation at a motel/hotel. Arrived on scene and began investigation. It was found that occupant was smoking in the room causing alarm activation. No hazard and system was reset.
  • 7:42 p.m. EMS Call: stroke
  • 9:15 p.m. EMS Call: possible heart attack
  • 9:37 p.m. Multi Vehicle Accident: Carnegie and Austin, two-vehicle accident with no injuries.

December 16, 2017

  • 6:32 p.m. Fire Call: 500 block of East Commerce, responded to smoke alarm activation at a motel/hotel. Arrived on scene and began investigation. Remodeling work caused alarm activation.

December 17, 2017

  • 1:09 a.m. Fire Call: Borden and Bond arrived on scene to find resident burning leaves in the back yard. Owner was advised of city burn code and fire was extinguished.
  • 1:15 p.m. EMS Call: head injury
  • 2:37 p.m. EMS Call: difficulty breathing
  • 3:06 p.m. Fire Call: 500 block of East Commerce, responded to smoke alarm activation at a motel/hotel. While en route, was advised false alarm. Fire Crews continued to scene to investigate the scene.
  • 7:51 p.m. Multi Vehicle Accident: 2000 block of Austin Avenue, dispatched to an accident involving a vehicle vs pedestrian.  Arrived on scene with EMS. Assisted EMS with loading of pedestrian for transport.
