Wednesday, August 31

*2:08 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Carnegie and Fisk Streets.  Upon arrival, fire crews found no accident found at this location.

*5:39 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 300 block of Market Place Blvd. regarding a general fire alarm activation.  Fire crews found nothing showing upon arrival. Firefighters did find the alarm panel to be working and there was no fire or hazard.

*5:46 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a single vehicle accident in the 200 block of FM 45. Firefighters arrived on scene to find an SUV in the roadway and that its occupants had fled the scene.

*6:46 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 300 block of Bluffview Drive.  Firefighters were dispatched for an alarm activation and arrived on scene with police to find the door was locked.  Firefighters unlocked the door and made entry.  Once inside, firefighters found the oven door was open and that food had been left inside and had burned, causing fire alarm to activate.  Firefighters used the thermal camera to check for hotspots.

Thursday, September 1

*2:04 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident at Stephen F. Austin and 14th Street.   Fire crews arrived on scene to find the roadway blocked and EMS with occupants.

Friday, September 2

*3:05 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to the area of 1st Street and Morris regarding a downed power line in the roadway.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find an old phone line in the road which was then removed.

*6:52 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 300 block of Market Place regarding a general fire alarm activation.  Firefighters arrived to find nothing showing. Fire crews found a smoke detector on the second floor which was malfunctioning due to water being inside the photo cell.  The alarm company was notified of the problem.

Saturday, September 3

*1:38 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 300 Market Place regarding a general fire alarm activation.  Nothing was showing upon firefighters’ arrival.  Fire crews made entry and cleared the first floor, then made entry to second floor and found water dripping from the smoke detector.  Firefighters made their way to the third floor to find the source of water.  Fire Crews found an air conditioning unit leaking water which was running on the floor.  Fire command made contact with alarm company and building maintenance staff.

Sunday, September 4

*12:47 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to the area of 13th Street and Brady Avenue regarding a motor vehicle accident involving a single vehicle which had struck a utility pole.  Firefighters arrived on scene with police to find a car sitting upright with moderate damage.  The driver was out of the vehicle when firefighters arrived and was later transported by EMS.

*2:01 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call at a residence on Oak Hill Circle.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find a small brush pile smoldering. The owner had filed a controlled burn with dispatch, but was advised they needed to watch the fire.

*2:39 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 1100 block of High Mesa Drive. Upon arrival, firefighters found that the driver and vehicle had fled the scene.
