Monday, August 25

*5:59 AM – BFD was dispatched to Borden Street for a possible trash fire.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a male subject burning plastic off of copper wire in barbeque pit.  The owner was advised of city ordinance regarding burning and the fire was extinguished.

*9:56 AM – BFD responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries at the intersection of Austin Avenue and Fisk.

Tuesday, August 26

*3:31 PM – BFD was dispatched to a hazardous materials call on Crockett Drive.  The incident was determined to be a gas leak.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find Atmos crews digging and repairing the gas line.  Firefighters provided protection and traffic control.

*4:12 PM – BFD was called to a fire alarm activation on US Hwy 377.  The incident was determined to be an unintentional alarm activation with no fire present.

Wednesday, August 27

*1:59 AM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call at 2nd Street and Avenue J.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find a dumpster on fire, which firefighters extinguished.

*7:33 AM – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident with no injuries in the 800 block of Main Street.

*3:49 PM – BFD was called to a fire on County Road 350. Fire crews were dispatched to assist Early Volunteer Fire Department with a grass fire.  The fire was brought under control.

Friday, August 29

*6:25 AM – BFD responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries on W. Commerce.

*10:09 PM- BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding a smoke alarm.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a lot of cigarettes being smoked but no fire.

Saturday, August 30

*2:39 PM – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 200 block of W. Commerce involving a vehicle striking a pedestrian.  Firefighters assisted EMS with loading the patient for transport.

Sunday, August 31

*11:10 AM – BFD was dispatched to Elizabeth Drive regarding a fire in a back yard.  Firefighters arrived to find the fire was out.
