Tuesday, September 8

*7:42 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries at Indian Creek Drive and 1st Street.

*2:24 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in the 900 block of C. C. Woodson.

*2:43 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire at a property on Country Oaks Lane.

*4:33 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at 2nd Street and Hawkins where a single vehicle caused damage to 5 parked vehicles.  The driver was transported by EMS.

*6:53 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of 3rd Street and Avenue K.  Firefighters arrived on the scene of a hit and run.  Two vehicles were struck; however there were no injuries.

Wednesday, September 9

*8:10 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 1500 block of Main Street.  Fire crews arrived on scene for a minor accident where all occupants were out of the vehicle and had no injuries.

*11:00 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 1600 block of Slayden Street regarding the smell of gas.  Fire crews investigated the area, but nothing was found.

Thursday, September 10

*3:21 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire on Briarcrest Drive, as requested by Early Volunteer Fire Department to assist on a structure fire.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find moderate smoke coming from the roofline.  The fire progression was quickly stopped.

*4:23 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries in the 2700 block of Southside Drive.

*7:52 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 5100 block of County Road 234.  Firefighters arrived on scene with Brookesmith Volunteer Fire Department to investigate a report of an explosion.  After multiple units searched the area, nothing was found and the incident was determined to be a false alarm.

Friday, September 11

*5:59 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident at FM 2125 and Temple Street where a single vehicle struck a tree.  The occupant was extricated and loaded for transport by helicopter to a hospital for treatment of his injuries.

*2:59 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 500 block of Lee Street.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find that a light ballast had overheated.  The light was disconnected.

Friday, September 11

*4:31 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call at Main Street and Austin Avenue regarding a vehicle fire.  Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire.

Saturday, September 12

*4:30 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident on FM 2125 involving a single vehicle with entrapment.  Firefighters extricated the occupant and assisted with preparing for transport.

*10:06 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 1100 block of Phillips Drive where they arrived on scene to find a small fire burning in the back yard of the residence.  The home owner was advised of city ordinance of no burning in the city limits.

Sunday, September 13

*3:57 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident at Brady Avenue and 8th Street where a vehicle had struck a telephone pole.  No injuries were reported and Oncor was notified.

*3:39 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in the1500 block of Main Street involving a single motorcycle.  Firefighters assisted with patient care until Air Med helicopter landed and prepared for transport.
