Tuesday, September 9
*9:32 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 2700 block of Memorial Park Drive. The incident was determined to be an unintentional alarm system activation and there was no fire.
Wednesday, September 10
*10:11 AM – BFD responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 200 block of Hall Street in Bangs. Firefighters assisted Bangs Volunteer Fire Department with loading the vehicle’s occupant for transport.
*11:02 AM – BFD was called to a water problem in the 2500 block of 11th Street. Firefighters arrived on scene to find water leak spraying water on an electrical outlet. The water was turned off.
*5:24 PM – BFD responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 900 block of CC Woodson Road involving a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle was transported by ambulance to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room.Saturday, September 13
*2:37 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 2800 block of Southside Drive. Fire crews arrived on scene to find light smoke in an upstairs apartment. The smoke was coming from heating, ventilation and cooling unit. The fire was located in the HVAC unit and extinguished.
*2:59 PM – BFD responded to a hazardous materials call in the 1300 block of Avenue C. A gas meter near a house had been struck by a vehicle. Atmos arrived and shut off the gas.
*6:31 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 1500 block of Market Place Drive. Firefighters arrived on scene and to find a truck with an electrical short that had melted wires on its motor. Firefighters cooled the wires with water.
*7:27 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 1000 block of Riverside Drive regarding heavy smoke in the area. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a group of people riding motorcycles which was causing a lot of dirt and dust in the area.
