Monday, August 1

*6:10 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a single vehicle accident in the 1500 block of Main Street.  Fire crews arrived on scene with police to find a single vehicle had struck the overpass and all occupants had fled the scene.

Tuesday, August 2

*1:10 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a fire call in the 1200 block of Center Avenue.  Firefighters responded for an automatic alarm, and upon arrival were notified the incident was a false alarm.

*1:32 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Coleman Avenue and Main Street.  Fire crews arrived to find all occupants were out of their vehicles and ambulatory.  One person involved was transported to the hospital by EMS.

Thursday, August 4

*5:05 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with injuries in the 2600 block of Austin Avenue.  Firefighters assisted EMS with loading one patient for transport.

August 7

*12:18 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a single vehicle accident in the 800 block of 6th Street.  Firefighters arrived on scene with EMS and police.  The vehicle bumped the house and there were no injuries; however, a gas meter had also been struck, so Atmos was notified.

*12:30 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a brush/grass fire in the 7600 block of County Road 189.

*6:41 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to the 2000 block of Belmeade Street regarding a transformer which was smoking.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a fuse was blown and Oncor was notified.
