Wednesday, August 24

*3:10 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident near the intersection of Idlewild and Vincent Streets.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find all occupants out of the vehicles with no injuries.

Thursday, August 25

*3:49 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 3900 block of County Road 159.  Fire crews arrived on scene to assist Bangs Volunteer Fire Department with a grass fire.  Fire Crews moved to the head of the fire and knocked down the fire.

Friday, August 26

*12:35 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in the 300 block of E. Commerce.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a 2-year child had been run over after falling out of a moving vehicle.  EMS arrived and took over patient care.

*12:43 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a house fire in the 1400 block of Avenue B.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find heavy smoke and fire showing.  Firefighters pulled hose and proceeded to begin extinguishment.  The fire was knocked down and firefighters began mop up phase.

*11:00 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Idlewild and Vine Street involving a vehicle striking a parked car.   EMS took over care and transported the patient.

Saturday, August 27

*3:35 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 500 block of 7th Street. Firefighters arrived to find a gas meter had been damaged when a decaying tree fell on it.  Fire crews shut off the gas to the meter.

*6:12 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 1100 block of Old Coleman Road.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find multiple individuals operating heavy equipment and burning in a burn pit.  Firefighters informed the property owner of burn regulations and ordinances and informed them to contact Brownwood Fire Dispatched for future burning.

*7:38 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 3500 block of Austin Avenue.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find a male burning cooper wire in a burn barrel. He was instructed to put the fire out and that there is no burning allowed within the city limits.

Sunday, August 28

*11:47 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of Austin Avenue and Main Street.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find all occupants out of the vehicles.
