Monday, August 15

*12:41 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the area of W. Hwy 67 and County Road 152.  Firefighters responded to a report of multiple grass fires along the highway.  Fire crews extinguished the grass fires.

*1:37 PM – Brownwood Fire Department performed a public service call in the 1500 block of Indian Creek Drive.

*5:11 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 700 block of Avenue D.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a power line down across the road.  Fire Crews blocked the road until the power company arrived on scene.

Tuesday, August 16

*7:14 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries in the area of 15th Street and Avenue D.  Brownwood Police Department was on scene and all occupants were out of the vehicles.

Wednesday, August 17

*4:39 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to the 900 block of Trigg Street regarding a power line down.  Upon arrival, firefighters found that a transformer was blown on utility pole and a power line was found broken and hanging near the ground. Fire Crews remained on scene until Oncor arrived to make repairs.

*7:23 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 3700 block of 1st Street.  Firefighters arrived on scene with nothing showing.  The occupant of the home met fire crews and stated that the smoke alarm in the kitchen had activated for no reason.  Fire Crews investigated inside with no fire found and the alarm was reset.

Thursday, August 18

*10:20 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of 3rd Street and Brady Avenue.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find the roadway blocked. All occupants were out of the vehicles and one was transported by EMS to the hospital for treatment.

Friday, August 19

*12:59 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 1300 block of W. Austin Avenue.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find smoke coming from the engine area of a vehicle. Firefighters pulled the bumper line and extinguished vehicle fire.

*6:26 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 600 block of Center Avenue.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find all occupants out of the vehicles with only minor injuries.

Saturday, August 20

*6:07 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 400 Commerce with no injuries.

*8:34 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to the 1900 block of Avenue E regarding a gas meter in the alley had been struck.  Fire crews stayed on scene until Atmos arrived.

Sunday, August 21

*5:37 AM – Brownwood Fire Department were dispatched to a fire call in the 12000 block of County Road 264 regarding a structure fire with guns and ammunition in the residence.  Winchell, Brookesmith and Early volunteer fire departments assisted with the fire. Fire crews arrived on scene to see smoke coming from the eaves and the top of the structure.

*1:16 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident on Center Avenue.  firefighters arrived on scene to find the roadway blocked and all occupants out of the vehicle.  The driver of one vehicle fled the scene.
