Monday, July 13

*12:39 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 300 block of Center Avenue.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find no fire and a manager resetting the alarm which a painter had accidentally set off.

*6:18 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident at Avenue K and Durham.  Firefighters checked for injuries and provided first aid.

Tuesday, July 14

*4:07 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with injuries in the 200 block of E. Commerce.  Fire units provided first aid and assisted with packaging of the patient.

*5:02 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a single vehicle striking a parked car in the 1600 block of 16th Street.  Firefighters provided first aid and assisted with packaging of the patient.

Wednesday, July 15

*2:00 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident with no injuries in the 400 block of C.C. Woodson Road.

*5:31 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries at 11th Street and Good Shepherd.

Thursday, July 16

*10:04 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 100 block of N. Fisk involving a vehicle striking a building.

*2:24 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 2100 block of Slayden.  The incident was determined to be a smoke detector activation, there was no fire, the incident was unintentional.

*4:14 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 800 block of FM 3254.  The incident was determined to be an unintentional alarm system activation with no fire.

Friday, July 17

*1:21 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 200 block of E. Commerce.  Firefighters responded to the call of a grease fire.  Fire units arrived on scene and found grease was hot and smoking but there was no evidence of fire.

*12:28 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 1900 block of 11th Street.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from the back yard where they found a pile of leaves burning.  The fire was extinguished.

*10:13 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident at Avenue K and 2nd Street.  Firefighters assisted EMS with patient care.

Saturday, July 18

*5:15 PM – Brownwood Fire Department  responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a freight truck in the 1900 block of County Road 338.

Sunday, July 19

*9:11 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 4800 block of County Road 234.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find an above ground pipe leaking natural gas.  Atmos was notified.

Monday, July 20

*8:43 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident at Austin Avenue and Main Street involving an 18-wheeler striking a passenger car.  Firefighters assisted EMS with patient care.

Tuesday, July 21

*1:36 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 2500 block of County Road 235.  Firefighters were dispatched to assist with a grass fire which was getting close to a gas line.  Firefighters quickly controlled fire and the gas company was notified about leaks in the line.

*6:44 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 200 block of County Road 616.  The incident was determined to be a service call. No fire, just a faulty sprinkler head.

*8:18 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 2600 block of Cleburne.  Firefighters responded to the report of a smell of smoke in residence.  Firefighters investigated with a thermal camera but nothing was found.

Wednesday, July 22

*12:52 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a single vehicle accident at 4th and Broadmoor Streets involving a vehicle striking a telephone pole.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find power lines entangled on the truck.  The scene was secured and patient assessment started.  Oncor arrived on scene to ensure safety of power lines.

*9:30 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 3900 block of 4th Street.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a small bonfire that was being extinguished by the owner.  Fire crews advised the owner of the city ordinance against burning inside the city limits.

Thursday, July 23

*10:45 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 1100 block of Fisk, where they responded to an automatic fire alarm.  All units were cancelled due to construction setting off the fire alarm.

Friday, July 24

*6:56 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 1700 block of 3rd Street.  Firefighters responded to a small child locked in a running vehicle.  Firefighters unlocked the vehicle and returned the child to his mother unharmed.

Saturday, July 25

*6:39 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 500 block of E. Baker where they responded to a light ballast overheating.  Fire crews turned power off and ventilated the area.

*7:49 PM – Brownwood Fire Department  responded to a motor vehicle accident on County Road 265 involving a MTV 10 ton dump truck striking a tree.   Fire crews assisted EMS with loading of the patient for transport.

*7:55 PM – Brownwood Fire Department  responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 400 block of W. Commerce involving a vehicle striking a pedestrian who was walking in a parking lot.  Firefighters provided first aid and assisted EMS with loading of the patient for transport.

Sunday, July 26

*11:49 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 1600 block of Melwood involving a single vehicle striking a fence and playground equipment.  No injuries were reported.

*7:06 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 1300 block of Brooks Avenue.  Firefighters were dispatched for a fire in the back of a residence.   Firefighters arrived on scene to find the resident was using an approved fire pit for a BBQ.
