Monday, July 18
*8:57 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a fire call in the 300 block of 2nd Street. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a slight smell of gas and found a rusted gas pipe caused by air conditioning condensation. Fire crews shut the gas meter off and notified the gas company.
Tuesday, July 19
*12:08 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 1000 block of Belle Plain Avenue.
*7:47 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in the 800 block of Avenue D. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a utility pole had been struck by vehicle which had left the scene. Oncor was notified.
*10:43 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 700 block of Longhorn Lane. Firefighters responded to help fight a grass fire in the city of Early which was near a residential neighborhood. Fire crews entered with heavy fire load. The fire consumed about 5 acres before it was extinguished.*11:29 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 400 block of W. Commerce. Fire crews arrived on scene to find a very minor wreck with no injuries.
*12:05 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident at Austin Avenue and Parkway. Firefighters arrived on scene to find two vehicles with moderate damage and all occupants were out of the vehicles and had no injuries.
*1:14 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 1500 block of Avenue E. Fire crews were dispatched to investigate smoke in the area; however, nothing was found.
*8:43 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a public assistance call in the 1300 block of Avenue C to stand by for possible assault. It was determined that no assault had occurred.
Thursday, July 21
*5:22 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident at Austin Avenue and Parkway. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a single vehicle had struck a telephone pole. The occupant of the vehicle was transported by EMS.
Friday, July 22
*1:00 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two vehicle accident with no injures in the area of 9th Street and Avenue E.
*4:13 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of C.C. Woodson and FM 2525. Firefighters provided care to the occupants of both vehicles and assisted EMS with loading of the drivers for transport.
*6:10 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 100 block of Ivanhoe Lane for animal rescue.
Saturday, July 23
*9:22 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 2200 block of Coggin Avenue involving a vehicle vs. pedestrian. Firefighters provided care to the pedestrian and assisted EMS with loading the patient for transport.
*7:34 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded a two-vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of Austin Avenue and FM 2126. Firefighters used extrication/rescue tools to cut one occupant from the vehicle. Fire crews assisted EMS with loading the patient for transport.
Monday, July 25
*9:24 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at W. Commerce and Bluffview Drive. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a very minor accident with no injuries.
*1:20 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a grass fire on W. Austin Avenue. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a small grass fire which had burned out.
*3:26 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a hazardous materials call in the 1300 block of High Mesa Drive. Firefighters responded to a 200-gallon LPG tank that had expanded. Fire Crews released pressure until the level was balanced.
