Monday, July 6

*4:00 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a hazardous materials call in the 2200 block of 11th Street.  Fire units arrived on scene, in the alley, for a gas meter that had been hit.  The meter was turned off and Atmos was notified.

Tuesday, July 7

*7:07 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident involving a single tractor trailer with no injuries in the 2500 block of North Highway 279.

*12:23 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident at CC Woodson Road and Milton Avenue.

*6:10 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries at Austin Avenue and Fisk Street.  Firefighters provided manpower.

*6:27 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident on Hwy 67 involving a single vehicle with a blowout.  Firefighters checked for injuries and provided first aid.

Wednesday, July 8

*1:04 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched for a water rescue at Elizabeth Drive and Magnolia.  Fire units arrived on scene to find a vehicle flooded out due to driving through high water.

*2:25 PM – Brownwood Fire Department  was called to a swift water rescue in the 1000 block of Riverside Drive, at Riverside Park.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find people and vehicles trapped in high water.  Fire units found 10 people who needed to be rescued.

Thursday, July 9

*6:50 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a hazardous materials call in the 200 block of E. Commerce.   Units investigated the smell of gas and suspected an underground line was broke.  Atmos was notified.

Friday, July 10

*1:48 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 3700 block of Savoy.  Firefighters arrived on scene to investigate the smell of smoke.  A can where a resident had discarded cigarettes was smoking.    The can was extinguished by fire units.

*7:35 PM – Brownwood Fire Department  responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 1400 block of Coggin Avenue with no injuries.

Saturday, July 11

*9:40 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 2500 block of Songbird Circle.  Firefighters found that a resident of the nursing home had pulled the fire alarm, which was a false alarm.

*11:51 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 2700 block of Main Blvd.  Fire crews responded to a small trash fire, which was extinguished.

Sunday, July 12

*12:46 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with injuries at Main Street and W. Lee.  Firefighters assisted with the packaging and loading of patients
