Monday, July 11
*6:07 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 2200 block of 12th Street. Firefighters responded to a report of power lines down. Oncor was notified.
*5:32 PM – Brownwood Fire responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries at 9th Street and Coggin Aveue.
Tuesday, July 12
*7:08 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries in the 300 block of N. Main Street.
Wednesday, July 13
*3:18 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire call at a residence on Spring Hollow. Fire crews were dispatched for a grass fire. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a very small area of smoldering vegetation and extinguished the fire.*3:56 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 1500 block of Terrace Drive. Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the apartment. The fire was extinguished, then salvage and overhaul was completed.
Thursday, July 14
*3:39 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Austin Avenue and Slayden Street. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a motorcycle versus vehicle accident and assisted EMS with loading the patient for transport.
*11:35 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a hazardous materials call in the 2700 block of Elizabeth Street for possible gas problem on a stove. A gas detector was used to investigate and nothing was found.
Friday, July 15
*7:18 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 200 block of W. Commerce. Firefighters arrived on scene with nothing showing. The air conditioning unit’s condensation line was stopped up causing water to back up and leak inside, resulting in the shorting out of light fixtures. Power was shut off to the lights and AC unit.
Saturday, July 16
*1:55 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 7900 block of County Road 291. Fire crews arrived on scene to assist Early Volunteer Fire Department with a 5 to 6-acre grass fire. BFD assisted with the extinguishment of the head of the fire.
*3:15 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident with no injuries at Romines and W. Commerce Street. Fire crews arrived on scene to find both vehicles in a parking lot and all occupants out of the vehicles.
*9:28 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the area of County Roads 200 and 201. Fire crews arrived on scene to find less than an acre of pasture on fire. The fire was extinguished and mopped up. The homeowner was informed that there is no burning allowed after dark.
*10:46 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a vehicle fire in the 2800 block of Southside Drive. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a pick up burning under the hood. Firefighters extinguished fire.
