Monday, June 27
*7:30 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched on a fire call in the 2800 block of W. Main Blvd. Firefighters arrived on scene to see smoke coming from a salvage vehicle. A pickup truck was found to have a tire which was on fire. The fire was contained to wheel well hub.
*9:36 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 700 block of Coggin Avenue. Fire crews responded to a call for smell of smoke in the residence. Upon arrival, the resident advised that everything in the property was unplugged. A thermal camera was used to search for a heat source, but nothing was found.
Tuesday, June 28
*10:51 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries in the 600 block of Carnegie Street.
*12:53 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 1100 block of Fisk Avenue for an alarm activation. Firefighters arrived on scene to find workers in the building had activated the alarm.*2:42 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a public service call in the 1500 block of Indian Creek Drive. Firefighters assisted EMS in moving a patient from the ambulance to a nursing home room.
*2:58 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to the 600 block of Oak Park Drive where firefighters responded to the call of powerlines arcing. Oncor was notified.
*5:22 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a 3-vehicle accident with no injuries in the 1800 block of Avenue K.
Wednesday, June 29
*5:29 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a lock-in at a residence in the 3900 block of Crestridge Drive where a child was locked inside a vehicle. The father arrived with another set of keys and unlocked the vehicle.
Thursday, June 30
*12:47 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a vehicle accident at the intersection of C.C. Woodson and FM 2525. Firefighters assisted Early Volunteer Fire Department and loaded the occupant in an ambulance for transport.
Friday, July 1
*6:12 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a single vehicle accident involving a motorcycle at the area of Indian Creek & Stephen F. Austin. Firefighters arrived on the scene and performed medical assessment and basic care.
*10:41 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident with no injuries in the 200 block of E. Commerce. Firefighters arrived on scene to find the police department was having the vehicle moved from the roadway.
*10:47 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 4300 block of 9th Street. Fire crews responded to a smell of smoke in a residence; however, they arrived on scene to find a light haze of smoke. Firefighters investigated but found no hazard.
*5:19 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with heavy damage at Austin Avenue and Avenue K. Fire crews arrived to find all occupants out of the vehicle and then assisted loading occupants for transport.
Sunday, July 3
*11:50 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a 2 vehicle accident with no injuries in the 400 block of W. Commerce. Firefighters arrived on scene to find vehicles still in roadway but all occupants were out of the vehicles.
*4:06 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 1600 block of Porter Street. Firefighters arrived on scene to find the homeowner burning furniture and brush in the backyard. The homeowner was advised of city ordinance and he extinguished the fire.
*10:05 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire in the 100 block of Vick Drive. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a small area which had burned in a field behind the home. The fire was out upon arrival.
