Monday, April 18

*4:33 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a hazardous materials call in the 400 W. Commerce.  Firefighters arrived on scene to a tanker truck and a large amount of liquid on the ground. An incident command post was set up and firefighters identified the spill as approximately 75 gallons of gasoline.  Damming and dike counter measures were deployed.  TxDOT arrived on scene to offer assistance with 8 bags of absorbent and the City of Brownwood also provided 10 bags of absorbent.  A hazardous materials clean-up crew was notified.

Tuesday, April 19

*12:20 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched for an alarm activation in the 500 block of E. Commerce.  The incident was determined to be a malicious false alarm and the fire alarm system was restored.

*6:01 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident in the area of Milton Avenue and C.C. Woodson Road.  Fire crews assisted EMS with packaging and loading of patients.

*7:57 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident with no injuries at Beaver Street and W. Commerce.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find both drivers out of the vehicles.

*4:25 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a two-vehicle accident at 15th Street and Coggin Avenue.  Firefighters assisted EMS with packaging and loading.

Thursday, April 21

*9:43 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries in a parking lot in the 400 block of W. Commerce.

*11:19 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with no injuries in the 600 block of W. Commerce arrived on scene to find the roadway clear and all occupants involved moved to a parking lot.

Friday, April 22

*2:43 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 1300 block of 16th Street. Fire units arrived on scene to find nothing showing.  The resident stated she was cooking and burned some food.  Firefighters checked the home and used the ventilation fan to remove smoke from the home.

*5:14 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a three-vehicle accident with no injuries in the 300 block of Commerce Street.  Firefighters arrived assisted with cleanup of the roadway.

*5:57 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 3700 block of Elizabeth Drive.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find a buried gas line had been cut and was leaking.  Firefighters shut the gas off and contacted the utility company.

Saturday, April 23

*3:49 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a single vehicle accident in the 1600 block of FM 2126.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find the driver was already loaded in an ambulance for transport.

*4:05 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to the 1600 block of Austin Avenue regarding a power line which was down.  Fire crews arrived on scene with police to find a power pole had been struck and broken. Oncor was notified.
