Reports released for the period of April 13-19, 2015 from the Brownwood Fire Department include 22 medical emergencies, 6 fire calls, 2 hazardous materials calls and 3 motor vehicle accidents.

Monday, April 13
*8:56 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 2400 block of 13th Street involving arcing and shorted wiring.
Tuesday, April 14
*2:43 AM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 1100 block of Magnolia. The incident required BFD’s assistance with a water problem.
*12:03 PM – BFD was dispatched to a hazardous materials call in the 1500 block of Main Street. Upon arrival, a blue container with a smoky substance around it was found and determined to be dry ice. There was no hazard.
*10:11 PM – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident with no injuries in a parking lot in the 300 block of W. Commerce.
Wednesday, April 15
*4:20 AM – BFD was called to a fire in the 2600 block of 1st Street. Fire crews arrived on scene to find a carbon monoxide detector “chirping.” A gas detector was used; however, nothing was found. The tenant was instructed to replace the batteries if the detector should sound again.
Thursday, April 16
*8:15 AM – BFD responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries in the 1500 block of Austin Avenue.
*10:16 AM – BFD was dispatched to a two-vehicle accident with minor injuries in the area of Austin Avenue/Main Street.
*12:43 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 1300 block of Campa Drive. The Brownwood Fire Marshal began an investigation.
*2:24 PM – BFD was called to a hazardous materials call in the 1100 block of Brady Avenue where a gas line was hit with a shredder. Atmos Energy was notified.
Saturday, April 18
*5:07 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 2500 block of Good Shepherd Drive related to power lines which were down.
