Monday, April 11

*7:10 AM –  Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 7100 block of North Highway 279.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find Lake Bridge Volunteer Fire Department beginning extrication of an occupant one of the vehicles.  Firefighters assisted with the extrication of the occupant for transport.

*7:54 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries in the 3600 block of Stephen F. Austin.

*8:37 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries the area of Austin Avenue and Avenue K.

*3:45 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 8600 block of County Road 189.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find a trailer house fully engulfed.  Firefighters started to extinguish the fire with Lake Brownwood and Bangs Volunteer Fire Departments. The fire was put out and firefighters began salvage/overhaul.

Tuesday, April 12

*6:05 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 1000 block of San Benito Drive.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a vehicle which had struck a house. There were no injuries to occupants of vehicle or structure.

Friday, April 15

*11:41 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to the intersection of Carnegie and Fisk Streets to the scene of a vehicle versus motorcycle accident with no injuries.  There was minimal damage to both vehicles.

*2:21 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to the 2500 block of Crockett Drive.  Firefighters arrived to find Brownwood Police Department on scene and a child locked inside a vehicle.  Firefighters quickly unlocked the vehicle and returned the child to the parents.

*3:09 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries in the 700 block of W. Commerce.

Saturday, April 16

*12:03 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 500 block of E. Commerce regarding an alarm activation. Firefighters investigated and restored fire alarm system.

*3:09 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries at the intersection of Austin Avenue and Coggin Avenue.

*5:01 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a single vehicle accident with no injuries in the 3000 block of W. Highway 67.

*6:40 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 900 block of Malone Street.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find the engine compartment of a van on fire.  Firefighters extinguished the fire.

Sunday, April 17

*5:21 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 2500 block of Avenue B.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find nothing showing.  Firefighters spoke to the resident and investigated but nothing was found.

*8:48 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 4600 block of FM 3100.  Fire crews responded to assist Early Volunteer Fire Department with a possible structure fire.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a smell of smoke in the attic.  After investigating the attic, a small fire was found and extinguished.
