Tuesday, March 22

*10:01 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 2800 block of Morris Sheppard Drive.  Fire crews performed trauma assessment and assisted with loading of patient for transport to the hospital.

Wednesday, March 23

*8:38 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 900 block of Trigg Street.  Firefighters were dispatched for a smell of smoke in the area.   Fire crews arrived on scene and found a fire pit burning. The fire was extinguished and the resident was informed of the city ordinance.

*10:29 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 2000 block of Avenue I.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a shed in the back yard of residence fully involved.  Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire.

Thursday, March 24

*6:51 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the area of 13th Street and Avenue E.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a school bus in the roadway with a down power line under it.  The line was determined to be a fiber optic line and was removed from the roadway.

*1:22 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 2000 block of Avenue H.  Fire crews arrived on scene to investigate the smell of wires burning in the residence.  A thermal camera was used to investigate; however, nothing was found.   investigation, it was discovered that the neighbor was burning wire in a barbeque pit.  Fire crews informed the resident of the city burning ordinance.

Friday, March 25

*11:24 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 2400 block of Durham Avenue.  Firefighters arrived on scene and found a power line that was arcing when the wind blew.  Oncor was notified and fire crews remained on scene until Oncor arrived.

*3:29 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a lock out in the 1700 block of Dallas, where they arrived on scene to find a child locked in a vehicle.  Firefighters unlocked the door and removed the child unharmed.

*3:56 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a single vehicle accident in the 900 block of Austin Avenue where a vehicle had struck a light pole.  Firefighters assisted the occupant out of vehicle and loaded the occupant in an ambulance for transport.

Saturday, March 26

*8:53 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 1900 block of FM  2126.  Fire crews arrived on scene with Early Volunteer Fire Department to find an old school bus fully involved.  Firefighters extinguished the fire and performed a complete overhaul.

*7:46 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 2000 block of Vincent.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a gas meter with a slow leak and notified Atmos.

Sunday, March 27

*9:35 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a single vehicle accident at Vine Street and Avenue B.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a single vehicle had struck a power pole and the driver was still in the vehicle.  The roadway was shut down due to low hanging wires.  Fire crews assisted EMS with loading of patient.

*1:08 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries at Commerce and Austin Avenue.

*11:01 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 1300 block of 16th Street.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find the occupant of the residence complaining of a smell of smoke.  Upon investigation, burned food was found on the stove and the residence was vented with fan.
