Monday, February 23

*9:23 AM –BFD was dispatched to a fire call on FM 586.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find smoke showing from the rear of structure.  Firefighters entered the structure and found no smoke or fire in the living area of the residence.  A thermal camera was used to find the fire in the attic which was extinguished.  Winchell and Brookesmith Volunteer Fire Departments were on scene.

Thursday, February 26

*9:33 AM – BFD responded to a fire call at Howard Payne University’s Davidson Music Center.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find nothing showing.  After an investigation, firefighters found that an air conditioner blower motor had gone out and caused activation of the alarm. Smoke was cleared from the building and reset the alarms.

Friday, February 27

*1:05 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call on 14th Street at Stephen F. Austin, where a power line was down.  Oncor also arrived on scene.

*2:43 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 2000 block of 12th Street.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find nothing showing.  After an investigation, it was determined that steam from a dryer vent was thought to be smoke.

*11:20 PM – BFD responded to a single vehicle rollover accident with injuries in the 1200 block of West Hwy 67.

Saturday, February 28

*1:15 AM – BFD was called to a fire in the 500 block of Austin Avenue.  The incident was determined to be a steam, vapor, fog or dust which was thought to be smoke.

*5:00 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 3600 block of Surrey Lane regarding an alarm activation.  It was determined that the incident was activation of a security alarm and there was no fire.

Sunday, March 1

*1:16 PM – BFD responded to a fire call in the 1600 block of 10th Street regarding a small fire in a dumpster.  The fire was extinguished.

*7:18 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 4400 block of Redbird.  The incident was determined to be a wildland fire, which was extinguished.
