Tuesday, March 10
*12:24 AM – BFD responded to a hazardous materials call in the 1700 block of Comanche Street involving the pop off valve on gas meter, Atmos was notified.
*9:31 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 3600 block of Wagon Wheel Lane. Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy smoke in the residence. The fire was out upon arrival. The origin of the fire was determined to be from a skillet on the stove. Firefighters checked for extension of fire but nothing was found. Firefighters removed heavy smoke with a vent fan.
Wednesday, March 11
*3:48 PM – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area of 10th Street and Avenue L. Firefighters assisted with clean up.
Thursday, March 12
*12:34 AM – BFD responded to a hazardous materials call in the 600 block of W. Commerce. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a vehicle leaking fuel and absorbent was used to clean up the spill.*7:38 AM – BFD was called to a fire in the 200 block of E. Commerce. Firefighters found an alarm system activated with no fire.
Friday, March 13
*6:35 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 1500 block of CR 134. Fire crews assisted Bangs Volunteer Fire Department with the extinguishment of a grass fire.
*10:24 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 1400 block of Avenue A where firefighters arrived on scene to find a small camp fire in the backyard. Residents were informed of city burn codes and the fire was extinguished.
Saturday, March 14
*12:50 AM – BFD responded to a fire call in the area of Southside and Holcomb Street which was determined to be a smoke scare with no fire.
*2:00 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 8000 block of County Road 270. Fire crews assisted the volunteer fire department with a fire in a mobile home. The fire was quickly extinguished.
Sunday, March 15
*5:20 PM – BFD responded to a fire call in the 500 block of Lucas Drive. Fire crews assisted Early Volunteer Fire Department with a structure fire.
