Tuesday, January 26

*4:20 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 2400 block of Crockett Drive.  One occupant was transported to the hospital by EMS.

Wednesday, January 27

*8:05 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries at Austin and Coggin Avenues.

*6:15 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 1500 block of Terrace Drive.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find nothing showing and were met by a resident who stated someone had thrown firecrackers in the dumpster.  Fire crews checked the dumpster and found a smoke bomb firework near the dumpster.

*12:07 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a fire call in the 2300 block of Durham regarding a report of smoke between the walls of a residence. Arrived on scene to find light smoke.  Smoke was coming from around wood stove piping. Firefighters entered the attic crawl space to check for extension, and exposed interior and exterior. Minimal water was used to extinguish fire. Thermal camera did not detect any fire extension.

*4:21 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a single vehicle accident in the 2700 block of Vine Street.  Fire crews arrived on scene with police to find a vehicle had struck three dumpsters and had fled the scene.

*9:37 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 100 block of Market Place Blvd.  Firefighters responded to an activated alarm; however, they arrived on scene to find nothing showing.  After fire crews investigated, it was determined the alarm was activated by steam from a shower.

*4:29 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries at the intersection of 14th Street and Good Shepherd.  Firefighters arrived to find all parties out of the vehicles.

*5:27 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 1700 block of County Road 199.  Fire crews arrived on scene to a single story structure fully involved. Brownwood Fire Department along with Early, Winchell, Brookesmith, Lake Dam, and Lake Bridge Volunteer Fire Departments extinguished the fire.

*6:03 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 3900 block of Rhodes Road regarding electrical problems.  Fire crews arrived to find all occupants were out of the house.  The thermal camera was used to search home but nothing was found.
