Tuesday, February 9
*11:26 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a hazardous materials call in the 500 block of 6th Street. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a cable television line down and Harris Broadband was contacted.
*11:44 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire alarm activation in the 800 block of FM 3254. After an investigation, it was determined that concrete dust had activated the alarm.
*12:38 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 1600 block of 4th Street. Fire crews arrived on scene to a find a shed on fire. The fire was extinguished.
*5:51 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a three-vehicle accident in the 1500 block of Main Street. Fire crews arrived on scene and blocked traffic. Firefighters assessed occupants of one vehicle and packaged for transport by EMS.
*10:00 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to the 2900 block of Morris Shepard regarding power lines arcing. Firefighters arrived to find nothing showing.
*10:23 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a hazardous materials call in the 1200 block of Avenue B. Fire crews arrived on scene to investigate the smell of gas. The area was investigated with nothing found.
Wednesday, February 10
*5:37 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries in the area of Carnegie and Fisk Streets.
Friday, February 12
*11:54 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to the 2300 block of Dartmore regarding a possible gas line rupture. Fire crews arrived on scene with police, and after investigating, nothing was found.
*2:19 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with entrapment in the 400 block of W. Commerce. Firefighters used rescue tools to pry the door open. EMS transported one patient.
*3:03 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a two vehicle accident near the intersection of Avenue K and Belmeade Street involving a passenger vehicle striking a school bus. Firefighters made contact with the occupants of both vehicles. Patient care was turned over to EMS.
Saturday, February 13
*3:38 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to the 2500 block of Good Shepherd to investigate a strong smell of gas in the area. Firefighters investigated the area but nothing was found.
Sunday, February 14
*6:37 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 200 block of E. Commerce. Fire crews arrived on scene to find a single dumpster on fire. Firefighters knocked down the fire.
*7:20 PM – Brownwood Fire Department were dispatched to the 2800 block of Belle Plain Avenue regarding a subject burning in trash barrel. Firefighters arrived on scene with Brown County Sheriff’s Office. Five 55 gallon drums with trash on fire were extinguished. The subject was informed of the burn ban and advised not to burn anymore.
