February 9

*2:18 PM – BFD was called to a fire on County Road 234, where firefighters arrived on scene to find a small grass/brush fire.  The fire was extinguished.

February 10

*8:00 AM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call at 510 E. Lee Street.  Firefighters investigated the smell of smoke in the building.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find the cause was a light ballast which was then removed along with capped wires.

*1:09 PM – BFD responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 1400 block of Belle Plain Avenue. One patient was transported by EMS.

February 11

*1:20 AM – BFD was called to a fire in the 1400 block of Coggin to assist the police department, BFD provided equipment.

*7:57 AM – BFD responded to a two-vehicle accident with injuries in the 800 block of Commerce. One patient was loaded with EMS.

*2:02 PM – BFD was dispatched to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries in the area of Streckert and Southpark.

*11:19 PM – BFD was called to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries in the area of 1st Street and Avenue K.

February 12

*9:21 AM – BFD responded to a single vehicle accident with no injuries on North Hwy 279.  The accident involved a single vehicle striking a utility pole.

*11:42 AM – BFD was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Anderson Street.

February 13

*7:37 AM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 900 block of Center Avenue.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoldering in a storm drain.  The cap was removed and the area was soaked with water.

*3:31 PM – BFD responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries in the area of Austin Avenue and Avenue D.  Firefighters established traffic control.

*5:31 PM – BFD was called to a three-vehicle accident with no injuries on Austin Avenue in the Dairy Queen parking lot.

February 14

*3:19 AM – BFD was dispatched to a hazardous materials call in the 900 block of Lillie Kimble.  Firefighters responded to the call of a carbon monoxide detector.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find a door bell was malfunctioning.

*12:11 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 500 block of W. Commerce Fire alarm activation, false alarm.  Assisted with resetting alarm.

*7:05 PM – BFD was a called to a fire in the 2100 block of Brady Avenue.  Firefighters were dispatched for a strong smell of smoke and arrived on scene to find residents cooking on a BBQ grill.
