Monday, December 28

*7:33 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 1600 block of Ave D.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy smoke coming from the attic. The primary search was clear.  Entrance was made to the attic by firefighters to extinguish the fire.  The salvage and overhaul was started.

*1:00 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with minor injuries at the intersection of 15th Street and Brady Avenue.

Tuesday, December 29

*1:18 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Crockett Drive and US Hwy 377 South.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find all occupants out of the vehicles.

*9:16 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 1000 block of Holcomb Street.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a small fire inside a vehicle engine compartment. The fire was extinguished and information was gathered.

Wednesday, December 30

*9:15 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 1000 block of La Monte Drive; however, no incident was found.

*10:08 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries at the intersection of Austin Avenue and Cordell Street.

Thursday, December 31

*12:55 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the area of Edwards Street and W. Lee.  Firefighters arrived in the area and could smell trash burning.  After searching the area, a man was found to be burning trash in a barrel.  He was informed of the city ordinance and extinguished the fire.

*2:30 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a hazardous materials call in the 300 block of Main Street.  Firefighters performed control and containment of a hazardous materials leak.

*1:23 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 400 block of W. Commerce.  Firefighters arrived on scene with EMS to find a vehicle versus pedestrian accident.  Firefighters assisted EMS with loading of the patient for transport.

*6:23 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident with no injuries in the 4700 block of FM 2125.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find a vehicle versus deer accident.

*6:27 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 4400 block of McArthur Circle.  The incident was determined to be a false alarm.

*9:11 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 1500 block of Belle Plain.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find a small fire in the backyard.  The resident was informed of city ordinance and the fire was extinguished.

Friday, January 1

*10:42 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 1600 block of 2nd Street.  The incident was determined to an electrical wiring/equipment problem with a fuse box sparking resulting in melted wires.  Oncor was notified.

Saturday, January 2

*4:21 PM – Brownwood Fire Department  as called to a fire in the 1600 block of Avenue E regarding a citizen complaint of a fire in a container in a front yard.  The resident burning the trash was notified of city ordinance and the fire was extinguished.

*7:34 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident on W. Highway 67.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find one occupant trapped.  Firefighters extricated the occupant and assisted with the packaging and loading of the patient for transport.

January 3

*4:23 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to an animal rescue in the 1300 block of Center Avenue to investigate a cat in the ceiling.  Firefighters never heard or saw a cat.

*10:39 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to the 1300 block of 14th Street regarding a fire.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find the owner of the residence preparing his barbeque pit.

*2:20 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to the 500 block of W. Mayes Street.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find a small bonfire in the backyard.  Fire crews advised the owners of city ordinance and the fire was extinguished.

*5:33 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 4200 block of 9th Street.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find a dumpster smoldering.  The fire was extinguished.

*7:59 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 1900 block of Avenue D arrived on scene to find a grease fire on the stove.  The fire was out upon arrival and ventilation was started.
