Monday, December 27

*3:46 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a hazardous materials call in the area of 9th Street and Avenue C regarding the smell of gas in the area.  A gas line had been struck.

*5:06 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries in the 400 block of N. Main Street. Firefighters arrived on scene and found all occupants still inside the vehicle.

Wednesday, December 23

*1:23 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 45 and County Road 265.  Fire crews arrived on scene with EMS and DPS.  Occupants were out of the vehicle.  Fire personnel provided manpower and equipment.

*9:04 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 300 block of Booker Street regarding smoke in the area.  After an investigation, nothing was found.

*9:53 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 1900 block of 12th Street regarding smoke in the area.  Firefighters arrived in the area to find a resident using an approved fire pit.

Thursday, December 24

*6:18 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 100 Market Place Blvd. regarding an alarm system activation.

*2:15 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to the 500 block of W. Commerce where a child was locked in a vehicle.  Firefighters gained entry into the vehicle and returned the child to the mother unharmed.

*9:20 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 1100 block of Phillips Drive.  Fire crews arrived to find a couch on fire in back yard of residence.  The home owner was informed of the city ordinance.

Friday, December 25

*6:42 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 200 block of E. Commerce Street regarding a water flow alarm activation.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find nothing showing.  Upon entering the building, firefighters found cash register drawers on the floor and police were dispatched.  Smoke was coming from the back of the building; however, the fire was out.  The water system was shut off and a ventilation fan was used to vent the building.

Saturday, December 26

*8:40 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call 300 Clark Street for an alarm activation.  A construction crew cutting concrete caused the alarm to activate and there was no fire.

*9:35 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a fire call in the 1400 block of Waco.  Firefighters were on standby for a domestic dispute.  Firefighters were dispatched to remove the fire hazard.

*3:26 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the area of 4th and Stewart Streets regarding a fire behind a church.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find the fire had been extinguished.

*5:19 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 300 block of Clark Street regarding an alarm activation.  A construction crew cutting concrete caused the alarm to activate and there was no fire.

*6:50 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a fire call in the 200 block of 2nd Street in Bangs to assist the Bangs Volunteer Fire Department with a structure fire.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a single story structure with nothing showing, and the fire was out upon arrival.

Sunday, December 27

*1:38 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched for an agency assist to provide manpower for Brownwood Police Department.

*3:53 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident at FM 2632 and N. Hwy 279.  Fire crews arrived to find a single cab truck on its side with no injuries.
