Monday, December 8

*2:34 PM – BFD responded to the report of a gas leak on Memorial Park Drive.  Firefighters assisted with traffic control during this hazardous materials call.

Tuesday, December 9

*7:19 AM – BFD was dispatched to a grass fire on West Hwy 67, which was out upon arrival.

*11:41 AM – BFD responded to a single motor vehicle accident in the 3100 block of West Hwy 67.

*10:05 PM – BFD was called to investigate the smell of gas in the 2800 block of Southside Drive, nothing was found.

Wednesday, December 10

*7:35 PM – BFD responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 2800 block of South Hwy 377.  Firefighters provided first aid and loaded the patient for transport.

Thursday, December 11

*2:50 AM – BFD was dispatched to the 3600 block of Milam Drive regarding an electrical problem.  Firefighters investigated heat around an electrical plug.  Ventilation was required and the breaker was turned off.

*9:50 AM – BFD was called to the 400 block of Whaley Street where firefighters responded to the report of a sparking power line. The power company was contacted.

*3:30 PM – BFD responded to a single vehicle accident in the 2000 block of Coggin Avenue.  A vehicle had struck a pole.  Firefighters loaded the vehicle’s occupant for transport.

*4:33 PM – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident with no injuries at Austin & Commerce.

Saturday, December 13

*9:41 AM – BFD was called to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding a smoke detector malfunction.

Monday, December 15

*9:20 PM – BFD was called to investigate a smoke scare in the 4400 block of Redbird Drive.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find burning leaves and advised occupants of city burn codes.

Wednesday, December 17

*12:07 AM – BFD was called to a house fire in the 3200 block of 4th Street.

Thursday, December 18

*10:52 AM – BFD responded to a dumpster fire in the area of 10th Street and Avenue B.  Firefighters extinguished the fire.

Saturday, December 20

*1:09 PM – BFD was dispatched to a vehicle fire in the 100 block of CC Woodson.  Firefighters extinguished a vehicle engine fire.

*1:50 PM – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident at 15th Street and Coggin Avenue.  Firefighters checked for injuries and provided first aid.

*4:41 PM – BFD responded to an alarm system activation in the 100 block of Melwood Street.  Firefighters found nothing and the alarm was reset.

*7:14 PM – BFD responded to a two-vehicle accident at E. Commerce and Opal Street.  Firefighters assisted with loading of a patient for transport.
