Monday, October 26

*10:43 AM – Brownwood Fire Department performed an animal rescue in the 3000 block of 4th Street.

Tuesday, October 27

*7:36 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a power line which was down in the 3800 block of US Hwy 377 South.  Firefighters arrived on scene with Brownwood Police Department and city crews. Utility companies were notified.

*10:01 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the area of County Road 234 smoke in the area.  Fire crews arrived on scene and were informed by Vulcan personnel that the smoke was from the asphalt plant and that there was no fire.

*4:40 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 900 block of 9th Street. Firefighters responded to a fire in a backyard, where a man was found to be burning his trash.  He was informed of the city burn ordinance and the fire was extinguished.

*5:44 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 2800 block of Vine Street regarding a possible structure fire.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find residents outside of the dwelling.  An investigation determined there was no visible damage to the home.  Firefighters used a thermal camera to confirm the attic was clear and a tripped breaker was located in the HVAC breaker panel.

Wednesday, October 28

*10:34 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries at the intersection of US Hwy 377 South and Coggin Avenue.

*5:35 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 1600 block of Broadmoor.  All units were dispatched for a general fire alarm.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find nothing showing.  Contact was made with the home owner who informed firefighters that fire alarm was accidentally activated and there was no fire.

*7:55 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 1200 block of Vine Street regarding the smell of smoke in the area.  Fire Crews investigated and found a fire in a barrel. Owners were advised of city fire ordinance and the fire was extinguished.

Thursday, October 29

*11:03 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries in the 2000 block of Vine Street.

Friday, October 30

*6:28 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a single vehicle accident with entrapment on Hwy 279.  BFD’s rescue crew assisted Lake Bridge Volunteer Fire Department with stabilization of the vehicle and extrication of the occupant.  The patient was loaded for transport.

Sunday, November 1

*5:51 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a hazardous materials call in the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding gasoline spill and containment.

*11:36 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a hazardous materials call in the 1700 block of Southgate regarding a report of gas leaking.  Fire crews investigated the entire area; however, nothing was found.

*11:55 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 1700 block of 11th Street.  The incident was determined to be a carbon monoxide incident.
