Monday, January 5

*9:45 AM – BFD responded to a single vehicle accident with no injuries on CR 267.

*6:26 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the1400 block of Custer Road regarding unauthorized burning.

*8:26 PM – BFD responded to a fire call at a residence on Big Hill Drive regarding a gas leak. Fire crews arrived on the scene to find a 500 gallon tank that was leaking.  The valve was turned off and residents were advised to call the LPG Company for service.

Tuesday, January 6

*11:56 AM – BFD was called to a fire in the 2300 block of County Road 381.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a mobile home fully involved in fire.  All residents were out of the residence.  After extinguishing the flames, fire personnel performed overhaul.

Wednesday, January 7

*1:13 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 1200 block of Center Avenue.  The incident was determined to be a smoke detector activation with no fire that was unintentional.

Thursday, January 8

*12:11 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 1200 block of W. Baker.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find that a fire in the fireplace had ignited the roof around an outgoing pipe.  Firefighters removed tin from the roof and extinguished the fire.

Friday, January 9

*1:21 AM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 500 block of W. Commerce.  Fire crews arrived with police at the scene of a grassfire where a body was discovered.  The Brownwood Fire Marshal was contacted to investigate.

*2:26 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 800 block of W. Austin Avenue.  The incident was determined to be an outside rubbish/trash fire.  The fire was extinguished by fire personnel.

*5:36 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 6900 block of County Road 569 where firefighters responded to a structure fire in the Lake Bridge Volunteer Fire Department area.  BFD assisted establishing water and manned hose lines.  The fire and all hot spots were extinguished.

Saturday, January 10

*2:03 PM – BFD responded to a one-vehicle rollover accident in the area of Beaver Street and Austin Avenue.  Fire personnel stabilized the vehicle and assisted the occupant from the vehicle.  The occupant was transported by EMS.

*4:15 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call at a residence on Alpine Court.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find nothing showing.  After investigation, an excessive amount of build up was found in the fire place.  Coals and hot ash were removed from fireplace.

*11:42 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 900 block of Vine Street.  The incident was determined to be a smoke scare as nothing was found by firefighters.

Sunday, January 11

*11:46 AM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 1900 block of Avenue B.  The incident was found to be a blown transformer.

*2:00 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 2500 block of Songbird Circle.  The incident was determined to be unintentional alarm system activation with no fire.

*4:05 PM – BFD responded to a single vehicle accident at Austin Avenue and Beaver Street where the vehicle had struck a utility pole.  Oncor was called to the scene.

*9:50 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 2800 block of Southside Drive.  Firefighters arrived on scene to investigate the report of a butane smell; however, nothing was found.
