Monday, October 10

*3:48 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries at Austin Avenue and Parkway Street.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find the road blocked.

Tuesday, October 11

*7:10 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 5600 block of N. 279.  Fire crews arrived on scene to assist Lake Bridge Volunteer Fire Department with extricating an occupant from a vehicle.

*9:36 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a two-vehicle accident at Parkway and Vine Streets.  Firefighters checked for injuries and provided first aid.

*5:52 PM – Brownwood Fire Department were called to a fire in the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding a fire in a laundry room at the apartment complex.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find the maintenance man had removed laundry from an overfilled dryer.  Power was turned off to all appliances and firefighters searched for fire extension and found none.

Wednesday, October 12

*8:04 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a single vehicle accident on S. Hwy. 377 at Coggin Avenue.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find EMS and police on the scene. Fire crews assisted EMS with loading the patient for transport to the hospital.

*2:31 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident at Austin Avenue and FM 2126.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find two vehicles with moderate front and side damage.  EMS were on scene for patient care.

*4:49 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 400 block of E. Commerce.  Firefighters assisted EMS with loading the patient for transport.

*6:37 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 500 block of Walnut Street.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find a pile of grass smoldering and firefighters put out the fire.

*6:38 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident at Good Shepherd and 14th Street.  Firefighters assisted with loading patient for transport.

*6:48 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 1100 block of FM 3254.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a man burning trash.  Fire crews informed the man that the fire must be out by dark.

Thursday, October 13

*6:50 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire on County Road 134.  Fire units arrived on scene to find a controlled burn that had been reported.  The owner was informed that he had to remain with the fire and extinguish the fire before nightfall.

Friday, October 14

*4:46 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 800 block of Early Blvd. regarding a possible structure fire.  Fire crews arrived on scene with Early Volunteer Fire Department to find nothing showing.  After investigation, it was found that a smoke bomb had been ignited and there was no fire.

Saturday, October 15

*8:16 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 1800 block of Avenue H regarding a structure fire.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a single story wood frame structure with fire showing.  All of the occupants were out of the home.  Firefighters set up for an interior attack and the fire was contained to couch on the front porch.  Fire crews began checking for fire extension with a thermal camera.  A dog was safely rescued from the inside of the house by a firefighter. Smoke was cleared from the scene and the fire marshal was called to the scene.
