Brownwood Fire Department paid a visit to the Latch Key Program on Tuesday, October 11th to talk to the children about fire safety.
Fire crews bought out the ladder truck and a rescue truck. The firefighters discussed the importance of students having a meeting place with their families in case of an emergency.
The children were very excited when they raised the ladder high above them, according to Latch Key staff. The children were able to walk around the ladder truck and see the different types of equipment that is used in case of emergency. The firemen involved with the event were Captain Kevin Barcliff, Driver Mitch Miller, Driver Chad Hill, Fireman Bryan Harvey, Fireman Evan Owen, Fireman Steve Adkins, and Fire Marshal Buddy Preston with K-9 Nika.
